In his feature-debut, Québécois filmmaker Simon Harrison embraces space with THE GALACTIC GHOUL, a roaring space opera about a great escape from a horrific prison planet under the rule of Queen Xaltalusia XXIII, played by Katherine Isabelle (GINGER SNAPS, BACKROOMS). In a film that aims for the heart with ingenuity and laughs, THE GALACTIC GHOUL is a playful low-budget/high-concept tribute to space operas and the endurance of the human spirit

A pair of space travellers arrive on Earth to study the planet's lifeforms, landing in an English garden. However, on Earth they are about three quarters of an inch tall and therefore find themselves encountering its natural and giant indigenous life, such as worms, spiders, goldfish and a tortoise. A drama documentary on natural history with a science fiction twist.

Directed by Xu Kerr. Centuries of unchecked industrialization have left Earth unsuitable for supporting human life. Rather than trying to restore the ravaged planet, humanity has learned to embrace its changing environment.
